How lucky am I to live on the edge of Foveaux Strait and busy Bluff Harbour where the fishing boat fleet, oyster boats, cargo and passenger ships go right past my window every day and where I can see my children’s ancestral home on Ruapuke Island in the strait? Wild, exposed, ferociously windy at times, and calm, sunny and serene at others, there is always something to look at and photograph, day or night.
